How to
set up a journaling template for Microsoft
Word:
1: set up your
screen this way if you prefer:
On the menu bar at the very
top of the screen
(in Microsoft Word application), click on TOOLS.
Then click OPTIONS.
Then click on the GENERAL
tab.
Then check BLUE BACKGROUND WHITE
TEXT and click OK.
Your screen will turn blue with white
text. Choose any letter font or size you
wish.
2:Then type this
forward slash on your keyboard:

Then type this
forward slash again:
/
Now go back
and highlight the last forward slash you just typed. Then
take your mouse pointer up to the FORMAT icon for letter color and
choose blue, OR
go above that to the menu bar and click on FORMAT. In FORMAT click
on FONT. Chose under
FONT STYLE: Bold
italic. Then chose FONT COLOR:
Blue
3:Your screen
should now look like this:

4: Now
highlight both rows of slashes that you typed.
Then either go
up to EDIT and chose COPY. OR the keyboard shortcut is to
hold down the ctrl key plus C while your mouse is still
highlighting the text you wish to
copy.
5: Now
put the mouse below what you have typed and
copied.
Either
go back up to EDIT and chose PASTE. OR the keyboard shortcut
is to hold down the ctrl key plus V while your mouse is
still highlighting the text you wish to
paste.
6. Your
screen should now look like
this:

7:
repeat step 4,5,6. Only this time highlight all the slashes.
Then it will give you
8. Repeat step 4,5,6 again and you will have 16
slashes. Keep doing this until you have created a few pages
of this pattern.
8: Save
the document at Journal and choose Document
Template as the extension format in the save feature below
the title you give this. Call it Journal
Template.
Every
time that you want to journal you may reopen this document
and type in front of the slashes and keep the format and
then save the document with a new name and the old template
will remain the same as before, ready for another use each
time.
Your
text may look like this: White for what you say to the Lord
and Blue for what you hear in your heart that He is speaking
back to you:

love you
/I love you
too.
Or You
can set up a macro:
Follow
steps 1 through 3.
Then
skip to step 8 and save it as the journaling
template.
Now go
up to TOOLS:
To
MACRO:
To
RECORD NEW MACRO:
MACRO
NAME: Set Journal
Click:
KEYBOARD
Press
ALT key and J at the same time.
ASSIGN
Open
new page icon under File on Icon
Bar.
INSERT:
Journal Template file
Put
Curser to from and click close
macro
When
you first bring up New Mircosoft just push ALT key
J at the same time in
blank document. The journal format will pop
up.
