What if you could actually hear God – to the point where you could carry on a dialogue with Him?

Ten years ago bestselling author David Manuel nearly died of kidney cancer. On his first morning home from the hospital, in his heart he heard God summoning him to a one-on-one conversation. He wrote down their exchange – thus beginning a prayer journey that has continued every day since.

Any number of  books urge God’s people to listen to the Creator.  We must simply quiet our minds till we can hear the still, small voice of His Spirit dwelling within. And we are assured it is possible. The Bible records more than four thousand instances of man talking with God. Yet few of us today truly believe we can actually hear Him.

David Manuel didn’t believe it – until it happened to him. Gradually his morning dialogues with His heavenly Father revitalized his walk with Him, making each day a fresh adventure. As he shared his experience with others, he realized it could do the same for anyone with a praying relationship with God.

But how to overcome the roadblock of unbelief? As C. S. Lewis said of Satan, his greatest deception was to convince modern man that the devil did not exist. In which case, his second may well be to convince modern man that he cannot with surety hear the voice of his Creator.

A leader of writers workshops, David Manuel has developed a flash-writing exercise that will lead anyone who loves God into dialogue with His Son. Now he uses it as an integral part of his Hearing His Voice workshops. Any believers who might be interested in adding dialoguing with God to their personal worship should read his new little book on the next page, and if led, contact him at editor@hearinghim.com
